Funding for container/office for nursery site.

Kia ora Trustees,

we have an opportunity to apply to the Pub Charities fund before the 11th of October for a discrete project. I am seeking Board approval to apply for funding for a shipping container/office for the nursery. Currently I have been given an approximate verbal quote from Mike Metcalfe of between $6000 - $8000.

A firm written quote will be obtained before the application is made.

It is a requirement of the funders that a motion is passed by the Board approving the application. Given the time frames it would be very useful to have this approval by September 20 so that the application - should the Board support it - can be filed before the deadline and any feedback from the funders addressed in good time.

I have spoken with the Pub Charities contact and they indicated that the project fit their criteria and would be considered, subject to the monies being available in the area.

Motion: I would like to move that I, Soozee McIntyre, make an application to Pub Charities for the quoted cost of a 20 foot shipping container with ranchslider door and one window. This will serve as an office space and lock-up storage for equipment to be held at the Doubtless Bay Catchment Nursery site in Wrathall Road, Mangonui.

Mike Finlayson has indicated that he seconds this motion.
